A foundation created in memory of Sydney Lauren Cassel to support individuals living with chronic illness who must travel to receive medical care.
Founded in memory of Sydney Lauren Cassel, Sydney’s Fund Foundation exists to help bridge the financial gap created by travel for medical care, offering stipends to eligible individuals and providing practical support rooted in lived experience and understanding.
Founded in memory of Sydney Cassel (1995-2024), Sydney’s Fund Foundation reduces the burden of medical travel by providing stipends to individuals and families who must seek care outside their home communities. When treatment requires time, distance, and added expense, we offer financial support to help make care possible. Through this work, we aim to remove barriers, offer stability during uncertain times, and ensure that distance does not prevent you from accessing the medical care you need.
With this fund, we honor Sydney’s legacy by turning compassion into action and supporting those who face the challenges of medical travel with strength and hope.
When I had to travel for specialty care, Sydney’s Fund Foundation eased the financial and emotional burden of my trip. The foundation’s generosity made an otherwise formidable experience much more feasible.
Living with a rare disease has meant that I have needed to travel out of country for medical care. Sydney’s Fund Foundation has helped support me during these stressful times with compassion and care.
Sydney’s Fund Foundation approaches support with care and intention. It is clear that every decision is made with empathy and a true understanding of patient needs.”
